forging our own path
how the AG Body Health story began
My Background
Alan worked as an electrician until 2007 when he decided to follow his passion for health and fitness. His first step was to work in the retail health sector where he was a assistant manager of a health and fitness store.
Mastering My Craft
In 2009 Alan studied sports therapy. He then went on to study physical therapy and dry needling therapy under Joni Sharkey. Following these courses he studied with Elite Fitness and achieved a Level 4 PT Qualification. Now Alan is studying to become a qualified nutritionist with BTN Academy.
Forging Ahead
Alan continues to further his health and fitness education by attending workshops, seminars and courses. “I love my job which is changing peoples lives for the long term”.

Electrical EngineerTestimonial
“I have been training with Alan since April ’15. I have a very busy lifestyle trying to balance work and family time and had been experiencing very low energy levels.
Alan put in place a brilliant tailored training & nutrition plan for me that was easy to follow. All his clients share a group on Facebook where we can share healthy eating idea and recipes with is great support outside of the gym. I like to train before work but session times are very flexible which makes is easy to work around unexpected events. The training itself is challenging and there is always a great vibe in the gym which makes it a lot more enjoyable.
I find Alan highly knowledgeable in all areas around fitness, nutrition and overall well being and would recommend him to anyone looking to feel stronger, more confident, improve energy levels and most importantly improve their overall health.”

“
I started training with Alan in November 2014 after 3 years of high tempo classes, gym memberships and body transformation programmes.
I was diagnosed with an Underactive Pituitary in March of that year which causes deficiency in growth hormones. This makes it very difficult for me to lose body fat and grow muscle. I was on treatment medically which takes time to work.
I was at a dead end – killing myself in the gym and classes and getting nowhere slowly. Having spoken to my doctor etc, I got advice that the only way I was going to see changes was through lifting heavy and tracking my food daily. I was hesitant because I didn’t want to become that person who watches everything they eat but unfortunately this was part of the plan.
I train three times a week with Alan, a mix of all types of weight training – I never miss a session– its part of my lifestyle. I eat well… I eat more than ever but im sensible about it.
I do not have the before and after pictures of all those “transformations” but im glad…. Its not an ideal I would like to live by… stick to the plan… train… eat well… and the results will follow.. it wont be an 8 week transformation for everyone.. but everyone is different.
Alan makes sure everyone has a plan and goals – he is aware of the differences and helps wherever he can.
